Comparing black women to animals, regularly calling people of color “stupid”, and claiming that American women are afraid of strong male immigrants: these are not dog whistles. It’s blatant, obvious racism that uses white supremacist propaganda and centuries-old racist stereotypes.
There is no ambiguity, no room for benefit of the doubt. No code, no secret messages. It’s just racism, said out-loud and proud. Call it what it is.
